One Eye Systems · About us
Defined by problems, not technologies.
What began in 2019 as an effort to understand a single problem has grown into a technology company that brings together research, artificial intelligence and advanced engineering.
Applied Deep AI Company
Who we are
First we understand. Then we build.
One Eye Systems builds technology for real-world problems by bringing AI research together with a range of engineering disciplines.
Our work is not only about digitising existing processes or writing new software. We first try to understand the structures, data, relationships and decisions behind a problem, because the right technology can only be built on a problem that is properly understood.
We have built solutions for very different needs across many sectors. That experience taught us to think across disciplines rather than define ourselves by a single technology or industry.
Our story
It all started with understanding a problem.
One approach, unchanged since 2019.
Our story began in 2019 with a system developed for Imperial College to analyse emotional states in the classroom. Even in that first project, the focus was not on using a particular technology but on understanding the problem, researching the right methods and turning what we learned into a working system.
In the years that followed, we built IoT systems, computer vision applications, inventory management and custom software for a range of companies. Sometimes we needed to collect data from the physical world, sometimes to extract meaning from images, and sometimes to build software that runs complex operations.
The technologies and the problems changed; our approach did not: understand the problem first, then build the solution it needs.

Our engineering philosophy
Technology is part of the solution, not the starting point.
Every problem has its own conditions, constraints and dynamics. So we do not start with a technology chosen in advance; we start by asking the right questions.
- 01
Understand
We look beyond the visible symptoms to the systems, relationships and constraints that shape the problem.
- 02
Research
We test assumptions, compare alternative methods and make sure the solution rests on sound technical foundations.
- 03
Build
We turn that knowledge into systems that work in real conditions, and that are measurable and sustainable.
For us, engineering is not just building a system; it is understanding why and how that system should work.
Our technological approach
Disciplines change. Our approach does not.
Different problems call for different technologies. We do not limit ourselves to a particular language, tool, model or field; we choose disciplines according to what the problem requires.
Sometimes the answer is an AI model, sometimes an optimisation algorithm. Sometimes it is a system built around IoT devices, and sometimes a new software architecture.
Today we are taking this experience forward through applied deep AI. We treat AI not as off-the-shelf models bolted onto systems, but as an engineering field that makes it possible to extract knowledge from data, analyse complex structures, build forecasts and improve how decisions are made.

The thinking behind our name
Not a single eye. A single view.
The name One Eye Systems stands for looking at a complex problem from a single point of focus: bringing different data, signals and possibilities together to reduce uncertainty and make what really matters visible.
For us this is more than a name; it underpins how we research and engineer. We aim to understand rather than add complexity, and to bring clarity rather than multiply uncertainty.
Our vision
Today’s problems. Tomorrow’s capabilities.
We believe technological progress happens where disciplines meet. So we do not tie our future to a single industry, technology category or business model.
Our goal is to combine scientific curiosity, research discipline and engineering capability to build technologies that can compete internationally, and to apply AI and other advanced technologies reliably, meaningfully and sustainably in real-world conditions.
For us, the limits are set not by the technologies we use, but by the questions still unanswered.
Our approach, in practice.
